michelle bredine, chairperson
My name is Michelle Bredine. I’m originally from small-town Nebraska, but have been in Colorado for over 20 years. I’ve been a member of Christ the King for about 15 years where I’ve been on the Vestry, a past Sr. Warden, helped with Christian education and formation programs, and the music ministry in both vocal choir and, most recently, the handbell choir. My husband and I have two teenage girls that have kept us busy with Girl Scouts and theater. I enjoy writing, hiking, reading, and walking my dog in my spare time.
Daniel ohamaka
My name is Daniel Ohamaka, born in Nigeria, migrated to the United States in 2002. I started attending Christ the King in 2012. I'm a Licensed Practical Nurse by profession, father to two lovely boys, David Jason and Elijah Andres Ohamaka. I have served twice on the vestry, and have always sung in the vocal choir. I love being a member of this great family of God. For me, here is home.
Jim atkinson
My name is Jim Atkinson and my family has been in the church since the conception of Christ the King in 1954. I was a Science teacher for 38 years and coached football and baseball. Areas of involvement: past vestry member, past Jr. Warden, member of the Climate Care Committee, Youth Group leader, St Clair’s feeding the homeless, serving breakfast at The Rising - a Baptist church that has a homeless ministry, delivering clothing to The Rising.
linda palmer
Hello, my name is Linda Palmer, and I have attended Christ the King since I was in high school. My husband and I grew up in Arvada. After graduating from college, we moved away and then returned in 2014. We have lived in Utah, South Dakota, Oklahoma and out of the country. Before returning in 2014, we spent ten years in the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar where my husband taught at universities. As a member of the church, I am on the Altar Guild and have served on the vestry, flower guild and a few other groups. I really enjoy the closeness the members of the church have together. I love living in Colorado because of the beautiful mountains, the four seasons, and the sunshine almost every day.

jean thayer
I’ve been a member at Christ the King since 2003, when I moved back to CO from MD after retiring from a career in speech/language and special education services. I was “sold” on CTK from the first visit because of the warm welcome to both my toddler grandson and me, and also the lovely mountain view out the church windows. I’ve stayed because of the deep friendships I’ve made, the in-depth support to grow my faith and prayer life, and the many opportunities for outreach ministries, like the Food Bank (where my photo was taken). This past year I’ve especially appreciated the Social Justice and the Climate Care groups.
