Worshiping Voices Choir
Our vocal choir helps to lead the singing in the congregation each week and offers special music twice a month. The choir rehearses each week. We are a group of people who simply love to sing praises to God. We begin each rehearsal with a short period of sharing prayer requests and thanksgivings and opening with a short prayer. Anyone is welcome to lead us in prayer. We rehearse all worship music for Sunday and then spend the remainder of our time learning special musical offerings. We find many blessings sharing our stories, listening with our ears and our hearts, lifting each other up in prayer, supporting one another, finding peace and comfort in our struggles, experience the Holy Spirit together.
All are welcome to come and join in making joyful noises unto the Lord!
Handbell Choir
Our handbell choir offers special music for the congregation each month and for festival services. The choir rehearses each week September to May.
Christ the King owns a five-octave set of Schulmerich Handbells and a four-octave set of Schulmerich Melody Chimes. We began by purchasing two octaves in 1968, and were the very first Arvada church to have a handbell choir.
Over the years, our ensemble has volunteered to perform at many retirement homes and other community venues. Our ringers are passionate about ringing handbells and freely offer their music in worship.
To play in the bell choir, it is helpful to read music and very important to be able to count! We welcome new members who are willing to try us out - we know that learning a new skill takes time, practice, and patience.
